So last weekend sucked all kinds of ass.

Anyhow, Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Hope you have a good one, full of food, family, and football. To all of you who are just celebrating Thursday tomorrow…you know what? I hope you also have a day full of food, family, and football. Unless you don’t like football. But still, eat something and appreciate your family and all that.

Feels good finishing two pages a week, but it’s a bit more stress/pressure, and I’m not really sure that there’s much benefit. The pacing problems that existed with the page-a-week schedule still remain. It just reads better 30 pages at a time instead of 1 page per sitting, whether that sitting is once-a-week or twice-a-week. Still, it’ll be nice to get the chapter wrapped up a bit quicker this time around.

I have plumbing plans for tonight. Not looking forward to it.

Happy Halloween! Get scared and eat candy.

No promises, but I’m trying to get into a 2 page/week schedule starting next week. The b/w flashback sequences go a bit quicker than the full-color painted pages, so I think it might be do-able. This experiment might fail completely, but I feel like I should at least give it a shot. Page 66 will go up next Wednesday, and if the Force is with me, you’ll see page 67 next Friday.

Chapter 3 is going to focus on Lola’s question up there–the big flashback that will make up much of the chapter will be all about the initial zombie attack that separated the kids from their parents. Hope you stick with us.

Wanted to also give another big THANK YOU to all of the folks buying The Moose Riders printed comics. I’ve gotten reports of deliveries being made over the last couple of days, so if you ordered yours when they first went up for sale and haven’t received them yet, it should be very soon. Looks like the printing/shipping turn-around is about 2 weeks, give or take. If you haven’t ordered yet and can’t possibly wait a full two weeks, remember that the digital versions are available right here for reading on your iPad, Kindle Fire, or any other tablet thingy capable of displaying a PDF. And, of course, you can always just read it for free right here at Chrome Dome Comics!

So here’s the first page of Chapter 3. In case you missed it last week, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are both in print now. The comiXpress sales reports only show me what titles were purchased in what quantities, so I have no idea who has bought the comics so far or I would thank you each individually. Please accept my blanket thanks here–I really appreciate you taking the time to read the pages here and then shell out real money to buy those same stories in comic book form. It means a lot, and I am grateful.

If you are looking for digital versions of The Moose Riders, they are also available. $1.00 each for a PDF file for your Mac, PC, iPad, Kindle Fire, or other compatible device.

Also, thanks to everybody who listened to my appearance on Too Heavy to Skydive last week. It was a lot of fun, and if you haven’t listened yet, you can go listen or download it directly from them (NSFW), or through iTunes if you prefer. I started out as kind of a hit and miss listener, but lately I catch them every week. Funny stuff.

And so begins Chapter 3.

Welcome to all of you who came from Too Heavy to Skydive! I hope you dig. If this is your first time here, you’ll probably want to start with Chapter 1. Also want to thank Fred for the interview–I appreciate the invitation.

If you are digging the comic and want to own it in print, GO GET YOU SOME! Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are both available from comiXpress for $4.50 each (plus shipping). You might be able to buy it at your local shop, but you would have to request it specifically and send them to comiXpress to get it as it’s not available through Diamond. Planning on making a digital download available at some point, but haven’t quite figured out what distribution method I’ll use for that yet.

Ok, here are the last of my heat-induced sketches from working at the St. Louis Zoo this summer. Next week, I’ll stop by the Too Heavy to Skydive studio to talk to Fred and whoever else is there that day. That same night, the cover for Chapter 3 will go live! Exciting stuff!

By the way, I’ve updated the character page with pics (and names!) of the parents. Right now, the descriptions of the parents aren’t very descriptive, but you get the idea.
