After indisputable scientific proof denying the existence of Hell was discovered in 2011, religious revolution swept the globe. Some faiths disappeared completely, others merged into new and sometimes unrecognizable entities. One such entity was the Imperial Church of Italy, or IChI. Pope Pius XV siezed the opportunity presented by the religious confusion and upheaval to make sweeping changes in the way most of Christendom thought of sin and pennance. He used the Sin-O-Meter to ensure that his “flock” continued to follow the teachings of the Church, and established the Sin Police for those rare occassions when the Sin-O-Meter failed.
